Simple Green Bio Dog Stain & Odor Remover

Got a pooch—and the odors and stains that go along with the territory? We recently took Simple Green’s Bio Dog Stain & Odor Remover ($9.99 for 32 oz.) for a test run to see if this naturally focused product stands up to the tests of man’s best friend.

According to Simple Green, this stain and odor remover employs a non–toxic formula that is safe for people, pets, and the surfaces you’ll want to clean, including carpets, rugs, pet bedding, litter boxes, crates and carriers, tile, finished wood, laminates, concrete and most upholstery, clothing, curtains, drapes, auto carpet and upholstery, etc. The company has a Fresh Bond® Technology that is says quickly eliminates odors, removes stains, and discourages resoiling or remarking. Beyond pet messes such as urine and vomit, this product also works to cleans stains and eliminate odors from mud and grass.

The mostly natural ingredient roundup includes water, sodium lauryl sulfate, astyrene/acrylic copolymer, sodium saccharin, mixed non-pathogenic bacillus, and fragrance including benzyl alcohol (click here for more information on the fragrance used in Simple Green’s products).

I used this product on my patio and it smelled wonderful for a few days, so it worked as promised. I also used it around the pool where we get duck droppings and it worked efficiently there, as well, to eliminate odors. It also worked well around my landscaping where we needed some odor elimination. Bio Dog also worked wonders on my crushed stone walkway in the backyard where our puppy Patch goes daily.

When it comes to pet stains, this product also worked well to erase weeks-old markings present on our carpeting from the bones we give Patch.

Simple Green also says Bio Dog works hard to banish old, stinky pet odors and we agree. It was fantastic to spray in the garbage cans where we throw away the dog poop each day. Normally, that bin really smells and Bio Dog  really helps resolve the odor problem.
