The Good

The Verdict
Seventh Generation Natural All Purpose Cleaner Free & Clear is an excellent multi-use spray cleaner that works very well on a variety of countertops and other surfaces. This scentless product is free of fragrances, a great feature for those who prefer a scent-free cleaning experience.
The Ingredients
The lion’s share of this spray cleaner’s ingredients are natural and perfectly safe for use in a variety of cleaning situations. According to the Environmental Working Group’s Guide to Healthy Cleaning, however, the ingredient methylisothiazolinone has a high concern for acute aquatic toxicity, meaning its best to keep from pouring this cleaner down the drain.
The Results
This workhorse spray cleaner works exceptionally well to clean a variety of surfaces. It leaves countertops, tile, marble, and porcelain clean and smooth without any residue. Seventh Generation’s Natural All Purpose Cleaner also cuts grease effectively, working well to clean up stovetop messes. While it is not recommended for use on wood floors it can be used for wet mopping on other floor surfaces. The Free & Clear version of this cleaner leaves no odors, which is a pleasant change of pace.
