Green Products: Eco Me Laundry Detergent
Looking for a green laundry detergent that effectively combats dirt and grime? Eco Me’s Lavender Blossom Laundry Detergent, derived from natural plant extracts, may just be an answer to your quest.
We love the ideals behind this company, which we covered here after they were featured on the television show “The Profit.” Eco Me founders Robin Levine and Jennifer Mihajlov needed a little help to make their green cleaning eco mission a success and, luckily, “The Profit’s” Marcus Lemonis, the multimillionaire Camping World executive, decided to help them with a prime time business makeover.
Now, Eco Me’s product roundup includes cleaning, skin care, and pet care products. This unique company focuses its ingredients on the natural and contain no sulfates, no perfumes or dyes (phthalates), and no harsh preservatives. The company’s products are also rated #1 on ECO SCALE by GreenSeal.org.
With a natural, non-toxic ingredient list and a focus on cleaning performance, it’s no wonder we were impressed by Eco Me’s Lavender Blossom Laundry Detergent, which comes in a 32-ounce size ($10.99) that de-grimes up to 64 loads of laundry.
The easy-to-understand ingredient roundup includes water, coconut oil soap, olive oil soap, jojoba oil soap, rosemary oil extract, aloe, plant-based solubilizer, vegetable glycerin, and plant essential oils. Simple as that.
While this product is packed with an appealing roundup of plant-based, natural ingredients, we did find the sudsing factor to be minimal, even compared to other green-focused laundry detergents. Still, Eco Me’s Laundry Detergent worked effectively time after time, cleaning loads of everything from sweaty fitness apparel to preschooler food-caked clothing.
The Lavender Blossom scent was appealing, not overwhelming, and left our loads lightly scented. Eco Me also offers their Laundry Detergent in a fragrance-free option. All in all, this green cleaning product is a solid option in the laundry room.
